Well, it was short. Forge 1.2.3 is out, and uncovers one BuildCraft severe bug that needs to be urgently fixed:
#113 pipe / engine drop issues
Pipe are properly dropped again, engine do not crash anymore.
BuildCraft 2.2.9 + Forge 1.2.2 works great AFAIK – so you only need to upgrade if you’re running on a server that uses Forge 1.2.3 (which is going to be the case for the BuildCraft official server anytime soon).
Thanks a lot!
Thanks but my engines are not working ?!
I update all but it don’t work.
It does. Remove your configuration file in case of problems.
i can’t seem to find the files for MC Forge 1.2.3, i was building a client pack for the users of my server and everything updated before i could get the server files to roll out the update.
if you could link to them that would be brilliant. (source forge says the files for forge 1.2.3 are not there)
other then that thanks for keeping bugs out, one less to worry about.
Did you try going to the minecraft forums page for Forge? It has the link there and i’ve successfully downloaded it and installed it so there seems to be no problem.
Where is the download for buildcraft 2.2.9????
try going up the top to the “Download” button and going down the options to “Previous Versions”. The select your minecraft version (BC2.2.9 is only for MC1.0.0) then the buildcraft version and the links will appear below
Just added it to http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/download/previous-releases/
The provided API files for 2.2.10 still don’t match the actual API included in Buildcraft. =/
They really should… What difference do you see?
In particular, the API.java file does contains the softBlocks declaration that was unfortunately added a few bugfixes ago.
The API source download on the download page for 2.2.10 has the getLiquidForFilledItem() function. But the API.class file included in the client core download only has getLiquidForBucket().
Bummer… Thanks for having insisted on that! There was indeed an error in the release scripts, there were packaging the 3.x API for the 2.x release. I’ve just re-did a 2.2.10 API packaging. Let me know if that works for you, or if you need anything else…
Sorry about the mess.
No problem. ^^
Had to use some reflection, but I’ve just released Railcraft 2.2.0 which should be compatible with both 2.2.10 and 3.0.4.
Nice
Ok i want to know that WHENEVER I go into a diamond pipe in SMP I ALWAYS crash.. and the hotfixes from before i don’t know about.. im using 2.2.10..CAN you PLEASE tell me?
sorry i posted this on the other api thing but i REALLY want to get this fixed
Sounds like it might be a net gui id conflict.
does buildcraft alpah 3.0.4 work with forge 1.2.3 because i really like using the gates on the pipes
)
