ALL REPORTS MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION!
> Minecraft version
> Minecraft Forge version
> Buildcraft version
> APS version
> All other mods installed and versions.
> If minecraft crashed, a stack trace must also be posted. See below.

IF YOU DON’T INCLUDE ALL OF THIS INFORMATION, I CANNOT HELP YOU AND WILL BE SLIGHTLY IRRITATED!

GETTING A STACK TRACE
The easiest way to get a stack trace I’ve found is to run minecraft through MCpatcher. This will keep the minecraft error screen up and stop it from exiting before you can copy the stack trace.

Another way is to download this and run it from your desktop:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/58275127/MinecraftDiagnostics.bat
(Thanks to cybrshdw)

If you’re wondering what a stack trace is, it’ll look something like this:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: buildcraft.api.PowerProvider.receiveEnergy(I)V
at buildcraft.energy.TileEngine.b(TileEngine.java:107)
at ry.m(World.java:1572)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.k(SourceFile:1589)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.x(SourceFile:705)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:658)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Stopping!

ALSO, MAKE SURE THE BUG IS NOT IN THE KNOWN BUGS LIST OR NOT A BUG LIST ON THE FOLLOWING PAGE!

You can edit textures to remove the whiteness using GIMP (not what your thinking :P GNU Image Manipulation Program or something like that) which is open source and freely downloadable.

Yeah, they have GIMP at uni, but I’m using my younger sister’s laptop to write APS at the moment and I don’t want to install yet more programs on it. Besides, it’s only a graphical thing, I can sort it out in a few days on my girlfriend’s mac.

Thanks for saying though, how are you finding APS?

figured id save you the trouble as it annoyed me big time to see the white texture so there you go no more white bits on the pipe and around the items

I can’t find the config file, so its somewhat hampering my ability to install and use the mod at the moment… Can anyone point me at it?

Yes I looked in the build craft config folder, and the minecraft mods config folder…

dAkshEN3

It doesn’t have a config file yet, I’ve not got round to getting that working, sorry.
I’ll get right on it.

Placed a diamond or gate on lapis pipe went to set triggers and it crashed to saving to chunks

dAkshEN3

I haven’t set up triggers yet, so that’ll be what’s causing it. I’ll add it to the Known Bugs list and try to fix it.

Right, sorted out the triggers. Turns out the power triggers work fine anyway, even on the lapis pipe. Also, I’ve fixed the problem with the liquid trigger, so you can now use gates to see how much water is in a Tokamak. Also, the inventory triggers work with the Grinder too!

The Attendee

Two bugs atm,

All the latest versions of everything listed.

1) The craftable “kit” items don’t do anything. They don’t place a block or anything. I have to NEI the blocks themselves into my inventory to use this mod.
2) This ones serious. Seems as though the Tokamak will occasionally cause the chunk its in to regenerate, destroying everything within.

Otherwise, great mod. I’d like to try to Tokamak out but after the second glitch has happened on two seperate test worlds, I think I’ll wait until its more sorted out.

February 3, 2012 at 1:42 pm #10152

dAkshEN3

Could you get my a stack trace from the Tokamak bug? Look at the first post for a couple ways to get it.

And the kits aren’t a bug, you need to put them in an assembly table to assemble them into the actual machines. This makes it more challenging to build the advanced machinery of APS.
