That was a glitch. It’ll be fixed when we finally get round to updating. Not sure when that’ll be though, I’ve got a pretty busy time coming up what with assignments and exams. |

I’ve got one, why not superconductor cables that have an expensive-recipe but give you a lot of them and they have 100% efficiency and can handle unlimited (or an excesively large amount) of power, it would probably only be a gap filler between now and when your advanced energy transport system is up though. |

Hey Dak i was wondering if you have any updated code? that you got done so i can merge it into with the code i have? i been pretty busy with work this last 2 weeks i done over 136 hrs and havent had much time to do much but i got a port of the svn working with 1.2.5 but i wanna make sure you dont have any thing first before i compile |

@Narathena ya its been fixed im not sure if i was gunna include that in the next release or not as SDK Gun Mod already grinds flint down to gunpowder but i could add your suggestions in and it would fix the issue |

two new kinds of powered pipes, each with a higher capacity than golden conductive pipes, that do not connect with each other, would be very nice. perhaps it could be like ‘cobblestone lapis pipe’ and ‘stone lapis pipe’. something like this would greatly help to condense otherwise bulky conductive pipe systems |

3 words… Perendev Magnet Motor. As for materials needed, can be anything between wooden, stone, iron, gold and diamond motor. Each state requires more material (aside from wood, stone, iron, gold or diamond) to make the necessary strong magnets which is the driving force of this motor. Now there can be easy way or the hard way of making such magnet… easy way would be to to combine 1 gold, 1 iron and 1 redstone to make 4-8 simple magnets. It by itself has no use (yet). However placing these magnets in right location, it could create a very basic magnet motor. I figured, 4 magnets place just like making gears it would create 1 quarter of the motor wheel, so you need 4 of them to make a full wheel. Now you need more magnets around the wheel so 8 magnets placed in all slots except center and 1 block of wood in middle, creates the housing for it. Now just need the magnet wheel, magnet motor housing, 1 iron bar (for drive shaft), 1 redstone.. voala wooden perendev magnet motor. For Iron, Gold, Diamond Perendev Magnet Motor, you will require stronger magnets, since you have the wooden one, you can then move on making coils which can be used to magnetize new metals. For example if i want to create magnets for diamond PMM, then I need to use few golden PMM and superior coils to create such industrial strength magnets. Of course the PMM is just a motion motor. Does not create any form of … electric or pulse energy. For that you need the PM generators. This ones are designed similar to PMM, however instead of magnets it uses coils or redstones and few magnets to create BC energy. PMG also goes through same efficiency as PMM.. Wood, iron, gold, diamond…etc. Power output: Wood PMM/PMG would be between wooden engine and steam (coal) engine. Iron would be equivalent to steam engine, gold between steam and combustion, diamond equivalent to combustion engine or higher. Diminishing return: Nothing lasts forever. So to make things somewhat more interesting yet not totally free. The magnets will eventually lose its strength (true fact) after long period of time. So add a UI to each of the engine to allow users to replace these magnets after certain time. How fast will these magnets become just junk metals? Good question, I would say each magnet would last about a week (game time) for wooden PMM version and about a month (game time) for diamond version. So in a sense its not always “free” but mostly free. You will still need to rely on coal, lava, oil or fuel to run vanilla BC engines because what happens when you don’t pay attention and all magnets have lost their strength… oops. PMM vs BC vanilla engines So… at the end comes down to fuel consuming easy to maintain BC engine vs “somewhat free” energy fuel free harder to maintain PMM. Just like solar panels rely on sun, wind turbine rely on wind power, fusion reactor on water/hydrogen, PMM relies on strong magnet strength…. Idea for the windmill Maybe what you could do is have the height level affect how much the power the windmill outputs, and it doesn’t work below a certain level. ( so basically the windmill can’t work underground. Because that would be cheap… |

That is already part of the plan for wind turbines (see here: http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/forums/topic/aps-suggestions-thread/page/5/#post-11976). Basically, depending on biome there’s an optimum altitude at/above which the turbine produces maximum power (for example, in desert and ocean biomes, the optimum altitude would be near sea level, but in hilly and mountainous areas it would be higher), also the fact that these turbines would be quite large (5x10x5 blocks) makes them an odd choice for underground power generation. |

An idea could be something like a “fusion matter transmutator”, a machine that, given a huge amount of power and water (like a dedicated tokamak), can recreate the fusion reactions that are naturally occurring in stars’ s core, fusing the hydrogen present in the water to create heavier elements, with enough water and power one should be able to obtain something like iron, or even uranium. (Assuming that industrialcraft is installed of course)

As the fusion generator gives enough power to play with I have a few requests: Railguns: 2 rails and armature made of nonferrious conductive materials + a large amount of stored electricity = a way to vastly accelerate a object. 1) would be a block connected to a pipe system and would accelerate (with the help of BC power) blocks moving through the pipe at speeds greater than 20 gold pipe stacked end to end. Total acceleration would be based off the amount of power available. 2) would be a true railgun firing graphite, gold or diamond covered projectials to a max range of 64 blocks. Both versions would require rails made from graphite, gold or diamond made like so: graphite would be coal or charcoal Gold would be gold nuggets diamond would be made from diamonds graphite and gold rails would burn up over time and require replacement, diamond rails would not need to be replaced and would require less power than graphite or gold rails. The accelerator pipe would be made of 2 stone blocks, a energy store, 2 pipes (stone?) 2 gates (iron?) and a slab like this: Gate | Empty | Gate Once the rails were added it would take in power and fire blocks through the pipe as they entered. No rails or power would make the block act like a stone pipe. The railgun would be made of a obsidian pipe a gold pipe a half slab a energy store a stone block and a chest like this: Empty | Empty | Empty To work the railgun you add rails and ammo and add a redstone current, anything not made of or wrapped gold/graphite/diamond falls out the end in the case of iron objects the projectial would only go 1/2 as far as diamond etc. |
