@RadioMan
Nope, just checked and both the client and the server jar file are named (…)1.4.2.0_bc2.2.
I’m no programmer, but judging from the error log, something is at line 44 of ContainerEngine.java within BuildcraftEnergy is wrong. No idea what NullPointerExceptions are; as I said, I’m not a programmer. (Although I do intend to try sometime…)

hi first post i just installed the mod on my server and client and when on the server the wooden transport pipes disappear after placing them although they still work i can’t see them some happens with the other pipes only they don’t disappear until i have closed down the server and client and go back on them again.

server version 1.2.5
client version 1.2.4 would put on 1.2.5 but forge don’t work
forge version 2.0.0.67 i would use a new version but IndustrialCraft don’t work

In 3.x SMP when using gold pipe the items will be transported only to the first chest in my storage system, and if it is full, they will be dropped, not going to look for a next destination.

RadioMan

What if you add stone pipes, because I think that gold transport pipes only accellerate, when powered by a redstone signal, so if you want your items to be delivered quicker, you will add a goldpipe with redstone torch for example every couple of stone pipes or so.

Transport pipes unlike waterproof pipes don’t have any loss, so if that’s the reason why you use golden transport pipes, then it’s not necessary and a waste of your precious gold.
I do assume you are talking about transport pipes, since you told us that you want to drop the items in a chest ;)

OK…. now it shows up 1.2.5 as a tag, getting a bigger smile every second, does that mean the links will point to a 1.2.5 compatible build?

@kosztyua – Gold pipes are accelerators, and BC pipes don’t have automatic routing. I think you want the Advanced Insertion Pipe from Additional Buildcraft Objects.

Thank you for the answers. Yes, i know that the default BC routing is less advanced, however as i noticed the normal cobble pipes have a good distribution of items and they never “drop” the items. Well, except if they are lining up too close and two of them tries to enter the same time. But otherwise normally they go on, if they cant enter a chest and even then about 50% that they try to enter the first, etc.
I realize that golden pipes are actually not needed, I just wanted to avoid the described issue with too many items standing too close in line.

SkullDraco

Can you please reupload the BuildCraft 2.2.15pre files for both Client and Server?
I tried the link but I keep getting a 404 error on the DropBox site.
Thanks a lot

And does anybody know if BuildCraft 2.2.14 causes a Saving Chunks crash for Minecraft 1.2.5? I am having it do that after going into the Creative Mode inventory and scrolling down the list.

BTW, Forge -does- work for 1.2.5 but you have to trick it. Install 2.0.0.67(or 68) and go into Forge 3.x’s jar > Net > Minecraft > Client > Minecraft.class

copy the Minecraft.class into the Net > Minecraft > Client folder that is in your Minecraft.jar. then you should be good to go, as far as I know this is the only way to get IndustrialCraft working on 1.2.5

@skull There is an official release of forge for 1.2.5, has been for a bit now, and I noticed today that buildcraft is now avail for 1.2.5 as well, so I wouldn’t recommend using the links from this thread anymore…

Is buildcraft development dead? will there ever be a buildcraft 3 for SMP?
I know a lot of people are waiting anxiously for this.

Stinkingyeti

I get that you guys don’t want to be bombarded with when is bc 3 coming out etc.

But, it’s been two months since the last main page update, could we at least get a rough timeframe? We shut down our server and after testing conversions to 1.2.5 noticed that we have to rebuild most of our shit anyway we’ll be starting fresh but don’t want to bother until we can get blueprints and logic gates up and running.

So is there any news at least on progress? On what specific roadblocks exist?

Just go here: https://github.com/SirSengir/BuildCraft/commits/master
As you can see, many people are working on it.

Where can I find the BC2 API source code? I only see the BC3 API and the links to the source for BC2 are all dead. Any help?

hey can u starte working on buildcraft for 1.3 or what is called, or do u need minecraft 1.3

July 16, 2012 at 3:30 am #24441

DaemosDaen

In a way they are working on BC 3.1.6 for Multiplayer which will prep it for MB 1.3 thought official support for MC 3.1 will nto be started till an RC of MC3.1 is available (some times after July 24th according to Jeb) at least.

On speaking of 1.3.6 If we’re playing with it, where do we post bug reports for it?
