Source code:
For long I was undecided if I wanted to release the source code at this early stage in development, but decided to do so for two major resons. 1) I wanted to release this as MMPL 2) Open source is good for a reason. Now people can easily look at my code and spot places to improve it. As a java “newbie” I might not be using the most efficient collections etc. Giving people access usually results in better code =)
Oh, its included in the download zip. So the zip contains both the source and the compiled mod. Nifty, right?

Great job on the new version Krapht!

Not sure on the new 1.1 version (Still using MC 1.0, waiting for the Technic Pack to get updated for 1.1 >..< If it could get things in packets instead of one by one by one it would probably greatly speed things up.

Ok, that last post got horribly chopped. If the system could use packets instead of retrieving things one by one it might speed things up greatly. For instance, I request 64 cobble from a requester pipe, instead of 1 then 1 then 1 then 1 … then 1 … 64 times, it would send one packet of 64, that’s 64 times faster. Same with the Crafting Pipes. If the table needs 4 wooden sticks to make a gear, then it should get all 4 at once.
|

|
I might consider this for pure requests, but when you start involving crafting pipes then you might risk overflowing crafting tables. Also this won’t happen until I get some kind of power system in place

Hmm… Oh well. I was doing, for fun (I got Collectors from EE doing it for me), a 4 table with crafting pipes, conversion from cobble to diamond. It took over 5 minute to make one diamond. >.< And I was using teleport pipes to shorten the pipe distance to minimum.

Woot, Setting up my 1.1 mods. Glad to include logisticpips. Thanks for the quick update.

0.1.8
New Stuff:
* (3.x ONLY) Added custom actions to all logisticspipes that will disable them. They will still route and finish what they were doing, but will not provide/craft/supply/accept new items. Actions are accessed through gates.
Bug fixes:
* Added ModLoader.getPriorities() that will hopefully resolve any remaining loading order problems and some blank texture issues.
* Fixed several crashes related to removing logisticspipes while items are traveling
Hopefully I fixed most of the problems in 0.1.7, including the modloader order and crashes on items moving.

Download temporarily disabled, hotfix incomming.

Download up again, hopefully that fixes the crash when loading worlds *crosses fingers* If you managed to download, you should probably re-download

Hello Krapht ! So I play a lot of mods…(of course doesnt everyone? lol) YOUR mod fills the gap. Factories and automated stuff is always fun but your mod good sir makes it function and makes all the mods I personally play with shine. This is the way minecraft SHOULD be by default! imo and since I love logistics pipes…I built my main room with the wall entirely made up of your crafting pipes facing inward so I can make my requests and sit back and watch magic..
Bobby “Logistics pipes and Buildcraft for life” Kraft
(if its not compatible with logistics pipes and BC now…Im not using it, period)

You know what would be great ? A “sorting pipe” that gets applied to a inventory, and gets any item in the system that doesn’t know where to go and there is already one of it in the inventory.
So for example I have a Buildcraft related chest and a sorting pipe next to it. There is a redstone-engine going through the logistic system and instead of taking the default route it’ll go to my Buildcraft-chest, because there is already a redstone engine in there.
Like a basic logistics pipe, but instead of the player setting up the list of requested items, the items in the inventory next to the pipe are defining the list.
Just an idea.
Anyways I really love this mod and I can’t imagine BC without it anymore !
Keep up this great mod !!
