I’m not sure if this is a bug or I’m simply doing something wrong. I have created this:
IC2 Electro Furnace -> CobbleTransPipe with regular Gate & red pipe wire (Emit redstone signal if space in furnace inventory) -> CobbleTransPipe with red pipe wire -> WoodTransPipe with AutaGate & red pipe wire (Energy pulse if redstone signal received) -> Chest (with cobble)
Now I should think that this would cause the pipe to pull cobble if there’s any space available in the furnace, but that’s not the case. Redstone signal IS emitted from the regular gate, and the AutaGate WILL pull cobble from the chest if I have a different redstone source, but it’s not going through the pipe wire. Can anybody shed some light on this? Is it a bug, or have I set things up incorrectly?December 9, 2012 at 3:45 pm #30793
You need to change the gate to emit a red pipe wire signal, not a redstone signal. And at the other end, change the condition to detect a red pipe wire signal instead of a redstone signal.
Pipe wires and redstone aren’t the same thing, remember.December 9, 2012 at 3:52 pm #30794
I understand conceptually what you mean, and redstone vs pipe wire signal makes perfect sense. That said, my options for i/o on the two gates don’t have pipe wire signals. Am I overlooking something else?December 9, 2012 at 6:05 pm #30802
Yes – you need to set them *to* red pipe wire, not redstone I/O. They won’t carry the redstone current otherwise.
If you want the signal to be transmitted the way I think you are, you need to set it up like this:
IC2 Electro Furnace -> CobbleTransPipe with regular Gate & red pipe wire (Emit Red Pipe Wire Signal if space in furnace inventory) -> CobbleTransPipe with red pipe wire -> WoodTransPipe with AutaGate & red pipe wire (Energy pulse if Red Pipe Wire signal received) -> Chest (with cobble)
The Pipe Wire signal will meet and transmit the conditions as you wish. Try it out and see.December 9, 2012 at 6:09 pm #30803
I understand what you mean, perhaps I was not clear before. Emitting/receiving red pipe wire options are not available. I click through and see only the redstone options.December 9, 2012 at 6:22 pm #30804
What kind of gates are you using? Red Pipe Wire only shows up on Iron AND/OR gates and better, Autarchic inclusive.December 9, 2012 at 6:58 pm #30806
+ Make sure the pipe wire is also on the same pipe as the gate, not on an adjacent pipe, if you’re using the correct gate (iron (or better) AND/OR apparently, as stated above) it should appear when clicking through the different triggers, etc.
