Krapht

I’ll look into it, it should nevertheless be released on a MC exit

New preview time!

Changed since last preview:
* Increased the extraction speed of crafting pipes to match the speed of suppliers
* Added extractor module – This module will extract 1 item (not stacks) every 5 seconds from the adjacent inventory. This respects normal pipe-side operations (ISpecialInventory/ISidedInventory). Items will not be extracted if there is no route (Ie a specific or default) present in the network
* Added quicksort module, this expensive, yet powerful, yet limited module will every 5 seconds pull all itemstacks from an inventory with size > 26. Only items that has a specific destination will be pulled, default routes does not count. It will not respect ISpecialInventory/ISidedinventory and will ruthlessly grab everything that has a route.
-The limits are there on purpose as I don’t want to see this module as a general pull-stuff-out automation module. It is intended to be used in combination with a chest to allow you a place to dump stuff for sorting. Any other shenanigans will make me nerf it/remove it.
* Added 2 additional display modes to the order/requester GUI, you can now view “Supply” only or “Craft” only in addition to “Both”

I normally play Minecraft on peaceful, so would there be any possible way for me to craft the blank chassis module without killing Zombie Pigmen?

Put a gold ingot into your crafting table.

Hey, Krapht. I love your mod, you are a GENIUS! But there is one minor issue:
It is quite annoying to request a stack of something and see the items come out one at a time, so I want to use a compactor pipe from the Additional Buildcraft Objects mod. But something wierd happens. The compactor pipe will (at least) double the amount of what you requested.

Is the changed behaviour of basic logistics pipes intended?
If the adjacent is full, they still try to insert the items, what results in the items spilling all over the place, instead of outputting them into an unrouted pipe system.

@Firedroide As far as I remember this happend before 0.2, too. Remember, an attached chest is nothing else as a non-routed exit for the standard logi-pipe. So this behaviour hasn’t changed. But now you can use the chassis pipe as it routes items to the next valid destination if the adjacent chest is full.

tuck

@Firedroide Are you referring to items traveling slower logistics↔chassis?

I still use basic logistic on the sorting side of things. Chassis are working great for terminal insertion and on the provider/supplier side.

@tuck No, it’s not about the Chassis Pipes, just about the regular Basic Logistics Pipes. in 0.1.8 they routed my items to a Iron Pipe (in my case) when the chest was full. Now they just drop the items out off the pipe.

And yes, now I’ll just have to use Chassis Pipes xD
It’s just strange that the Basic Logistics Pipe behaviour changed although there was no note about it in the changelog.

Also I just tested it with a default route set by a basic logistics pipe as well as by a chassis pipe with the ItemSink module.
It doesn’t matter if there is a default route set, if the inventory the items want to go to is already full, the pipes still try to insert the items into the inventory, with the result that they’re just dropped.
