I have enjoyed this mod so much but I havent really started with BTB yet. Just loving BTW.

A few questions.

First question. How similar is BTB to Buildcraft? I havent found any good BTB tutorial videos on Youtube and I am wondering if I watch Buildcraft tutorials will it be the same?

Second. I started using this mod in a user created map called Sunken Island and then watching some tutorial videos I realized that I don’t know if the map I am in will have oil. Does anyone know if the mod would have created an oil spot in this particular map? If not is there a way to just move my created buildings to a new map. (I think the answer to that question is probably no way!! But just figured I would ask.)

Lastly are there any add-ons that I should get for this mod. I discovered the Vat add-on yesterday and I am wondering if there is more that I havent seen,

Once again thanks so much!!

You would be better off asking your remaining questions in the Better Than Buildcraft and Sunken Island support threads.

Better Than Buildcraft and Buildcraft are different projects handled by different people.

Buildcraft – without BTB – may seem more basic.
The main goal is to provide ways to automate mining, crafting, transportation and construction.
The only world addition is oil, which is optional : combustion engines can also use lava as less efficiency fuel.
Many great mods use Builcraft or are compatible with, so it is a main component when playing mods.
